Because of my fanatical and well-documented obsession with nails, I couldn't help but post this set from Holly Fulton's Fall/Winter 2011 collection. Bold pop-prints by Fulton and Mary Katrantzou have become a trademark of London Fashion Week and while they aren't my style for wearing, they mesmerize me every time.

Half Moon Manicure
A few weeks ago, Leandra (you know her as Man Repeller) very nicely posted pics of my leopard print nails and also very nicely led me to the easiest tutorial ever for half moon nails courtesy of Alix from The Cherry Blossom Girl. I gave method of using hole-punch stickers as a guide a try and not only was it super easy, but the stickers worked really well to give a clean edge. The only trick is to wait until your nails are completely dry to remove the stickers and to be sure to follow up with a nice shiny top coat.
For my nails I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in All Fired Up, my favorite solid red with a pop.

3.1 Phillip Lim Fall 2011
Few designers bridge the gap from runway to retail like Phillip Lim (except for maybe Alexander Wang), meaning I will be ogling this entire collection online and in-store in approximately 6 moths (specifically at Bird). One of my favorite themes within the extremely wearable collection was the wool scarves attached to the outerwear. I love that they have a structural element while feeling spontaneous and relaxed. Basically, the height of practical chic.

Vena Cava Fall 2011 Accessories
Every season, I'm excited to see which version of '90s cool girl Vena Cava creates. The slinky, sexy art house student that they created for Fall 2011 was spot on, but I really can't resist the accessories. As Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai have developed their collections, their talent for accessories has really grown. I love the bold geometric yellow gold necklaces and bracelets and lace-up platforms. As for major glittery eye and painted nail polish rings, so major.

DIY: Wall-Mounted Bulb Lamp
My room suffers from the curse of someone who got overzealoused about energy-safe bulbs and thus has a bright sterile white glow. A little trip to Ikea and a lot of help from Mark created the perfect little lamp to solve the problem. We used an Ikea wall bracket, Ikea lamp cord, and a standard silver bowl bulb and drilled three notches to hold the cord, all for about $10. How do you think it goes with my YSL Manifesto print?

Boy. by Band of Outsiders Spring 2011 Lookbook
I always love Band of Outsiders' lookbooks. Every season they strike the perfect balance of whimsy, humor, and cool. For Spring 2011, the lookbook for Boy. band of Outsiders Spring features Kirsten Dunst enjoying the Huntington Botanical Gardens in Pasadena, CA. Needless to say that I want to be there right now as I have a weakness for botanic gardens, but also cool girls dressed in cool clothes.

DKNY Spring 2011 Handbags
I don't usually pay a ton of attention to DKNY, but after frequenting Blanche's in their Madison Avenue flagship for lunch (salad wrap with chicken and goat cheese), their handbags caught my eye. I love the simple ageless shapes, the mix of vintage inspiration and modern lines, and the playful colors and textures. Plus, the price point is pretty attainable. I'll take these four.
