I am newly in the mood for spring and always in the mood for a little Proenza Schouler. For this nail look I replicated my favorite pattern from their Spring/Summer '12 show, blue tropical flowers repeated on a bright yellow base. I copied the flowers with Sally Hansen Smooth & Perfect in Air and my fine black nail brush to get the retro wallpaper vibe. To keep it fresh, I went with Sally Hansen Lightening, my favorite bright yellow. I know I always say it, but I loved how these looked on!

Need: Floral Dr. Martens
If I'm going to participate in the floral trend (and I am), I want to do it my own way. Plus, I've always felt that a statement flat helps you get away with wearing flats.

Prabal Gurung Fall 2012 Runway Jewelry
Prabal Gurung can basically do no wrong at the moment. The fact that the jewelry for his F/W '12 show felt so right is of no surprise. Last season's harnesses were inspired and now we have creepy cool cow skull jewels that make "Cowboys & Aliens" seem like a viable source of inspiration. I literally can't wait to see what he does next.

Celine Spring 2012-Inspired Nails
What was supposed to be straightforward Celine-inspired nails turned into a sort of goth Valentine's Day look (not exactly the words I would use to describe Phoebe Philo or her fans). To get the look I began with a base of OPI Alpine Snow and used my red nail art pen to outline and fill in red geometric details. The combination of elements from the three looks make this set a little more current.

Stella McCartney Spring 2012 Campaign
Natalia Vodianova and Stella McCartney are turning into one of my favorite fashion partnerships of late. McCartney's Spring 2012 campaign was shot by Mert and Marcus with collaged flowers. I'm no expert, but I do wish we could see the fun colors of her spring line.

Cross-Stitched Georg Jensen Ads
Cross-stitch is one of the many crafts that I love and I've been thinking of how I could use fashion imagery as inspiration for a little while. I just found the beautiful spring 2012 Georg Jensen campaign by Inge Jacobsen of Freja in the Danish designer's jewelry. The mix of thread and photography is so pretty.
